April 19, 2015 BAL@BOS Game 12

I didn't watch the game yesterday and went out with my girlfriend. I tried not to check the score too often and fortunately I didn't ruin our day out.

Porcello wasn't off to a good start and the Sox was 0-2 in the top of the 1st. But Ramirez quickly hit a blast in return and that almost made me shout in the cafe shop. However Procello really wasn't sharp in the game and the Sox was not hitting well. Ortiz was even ejected in the 5th inning out of frustration.

Big Papi should really calm down and find a way to hit instead of simply venting out his frustration, even if that's a terrible call from the 3rd plate umpire. He's a veteran and I trust him to quickly adjust in the next game. The Sox really need to overpower their opponents in hitting to cover their weakness in starters.

Porcello was finally out in the 6th inning after giving up a 3-run double. I felt sad for him.

After getting back home I checked what happened in the rest of the game. Craig Breslow and Edward Mujica did a good job and combined 3 hits, 3 strike outs, and no earned runs in 4 innings. But the Sox's hitting had no life. The final score was 3-8.

The Sox is now one game behind the Orioles in this series. I hope they can win tomorrow to tie it.
