On my way to the office this morning I didn't see lots of people wearing Red Sox garments. I wonder if this is because people in Boston become less excited over these years or simply because of the frustration and disappointment last night.
Although the Red Sox won the series in New York the past weekend, they lost 4-14 in the last game. Clay Buchholz was totally disastrous in the first inning and that kind of set the tone of the game. I don't think Clay is going to be the kind of ace he claimed to become despite the tremendous performance in his season opener.
There are two things I'm worrying about the current Sox: Papi and Napoli are not hitting, and moreover, which Clay are we going to see this year?
Anyway, they finally finished those road games and came back home with 4-2. The home opener will start later but anxiety instead of excitement fills my mind.

I ended up staying in the office working and constantly checking Gameday update. The Nationals played terribly so the Sox won without any problem. Jordan Zimmerman was so frustrated that in the third inning he hit Ramirez and Sandoval in a row. I can't blame him, because I was kind of hoping Bucky hitting some Yankees batters last night. I really isn't a good person.
Today's game is all about Mookie Betts. Oh Mookie, he's just everywhere. The robbing of 3-run homer from Bryce Harper, the extraordinary two bases stealing, and the 3-run homer. It's great to see both him and Xander Bogaerts are playing so well early in the season.
Other good news: Pocello seems to be quite solid, and Papi and Napoli start to hit.
